Great piece! I concur completely. for many years I performed my Interactive Rock nā Roll Fairytales in small venues. There were several spots in the show for the kids to come up and dance, play a game, etc. (I did give prizes. A little bribery will get you everywhere. Lol) Many parents were stunned to see their shy kids go up onstage They never thought in a million years that they would. It often led to the parents signing the kids up for acting lessons. It was a joy to watch these kids open up and develop a passion for their art. Many of them went on to acting and writing careers. While we always had fun, I always took them quite seriously.
